High flying parasailorl?

I was watching the Atlantic crossing of Playmobil (Saba 50) on youtube and in one shot, the parasailor seems to be much higher than I'd expected. This captain has 15 bluewater crossings under his belt so he knows what he's doing. Is this to depower the sail a bit? Is it to more easily bleed off gusts in inconsistent wind?

My guess is it's to get above the shadow of the main.

Re: High flying parasailorl?

We often fly ours high like that. Seems to lift the bow up a bit which is good.

We fly ours about 10-15 ft off the bows. We never raise the main. Didn't think you needed to. How many of you fly the Parasailor with the main raised? And why?
Btw I'm sailing a 44 ft cat

Or to free the area around the trampoline for take off / landing of the drone.
