HELP On SailDrive

My Catamaran has a brand new SD20 SailDrive portside and a much older ??? possibly SD15 unit attached to the Yanmar diesel on starboard. I need both a folding prop and at least the lower seal on the older unit since I now appear to be getting saltwater into the tranny oil.

However I have no manual on the older unit. It does not appear to be an SD20 but I am not sure- it has no fill capacity from above the water that I can see. ANY TIPS on how I can ID this unit? Any online sources for older SailDrive manuals?

ANY help appreciated, including a bead on props and seals. . .

A day or two ago there was a folding prop for your drive on Ebay for a cheap price. It was an Eliche Radiche prop -- I think a good manufacturer __ Italian. Maybe it is still available.

I was under the impression that the SD20 was Yanmars 1st generation light displacement sail drive. To my knowledge, the only Models are the SD20, SD30, SD31, SD40, and SD50. I could easily be in error, but I've certainly never seen, nor heard of, an SD15?

In any event, definitely replace all 4 seals when you get to it as you wouldn't want to haul out a second time for the other inevitable seal failure.

Here is are two links for identification and servicing the SD20: (There is a schematic compliments of member SSullivan on page #3 of the first link. Should help with identification.

Have a look at the Gori Props website for folding props.

Check out the thread on Propspeed coating on Gori props in the Propulsion section. I brought the boat back to the slip yesterday and am very jealous of the owner's new prop. It was a 16.5" X 12" Gori (actually two of them, same rotation). Extraordinary control, especially with the 12-15 knot breeze at my back, maneuvering into the side tie with the megayacht three feet off my bow. Piece of cake, whew!
