When Alwoplast closed it's doors in December, 2019, the options for hauling a multi in
South America became few to none. Good news, however. The Club de Yates in Valdivia will be leasing the property and plan to
repair the docks and open the facility to yachts within the next 3 months. The travelift will be operational. I'm not sure of the beam limit, but it was used to launch Chris White cats and had no problem with our 26' beam. There will also be a rental house for the use of tenants. This is good news for anyone headed to
Chile and the Club de Yates is a very safe, friendly and economical place to leave a
boat. Unfortunately, the
hull and
deck molds for the CW Atlantics will likely be chopped up and hauled away unless anyone cares to come and get them.
