Grainger/Perry 40

We have recently bought a Grainger designed, Perry built 40 currently in the Hawkesbury River moving from a Farr 38. Just wondering if there is an association of any description for these boats. If not, would love to hear from other owners about their experiences, any upgrades they would recommend, any issues we should be alert to etc. Fair winds and following seas to all for the New Year. Re: Grainger/Perry 40

Very sadly, early this year Dalliance was on a commercial mooring in the Hawkesbury when the area was hit by a significant storm. A large Steelie nearby broke it’s mooring, smashed into Dalliance breaking our mooring and put us on the rocks. She was looted and the insurance company wrote her off. We were absolutely gutted! There were so many dreams we had for her that went on the rocks with her.

Well at least you have an Oyster 42 to continue the dream albeit a little more cramped

Yes, we didn’t intend to go make to a mono but there were no cats around that measured up to Dalliance - at least the fit out on the Oyster is of similar quality to Dalliance
