Wathumba lagoon anchorage, Fraser Island.

Can you actually moor anywhere close without the boat beaching at low tide.

You can anchor outside, in Platypus bay, which is very good in SE erlies.


There's also a bit of a creek, but would be tight.

I did a week 4wding Fraser Island. That is a great place, highly recommended.

I watched people tow fully stocked 20 foot fibreglass half cabin boats through the sand hills and tracks. Not bad doing behind a land cruiser

Bring tea tree oil for the sand flies.
