Fattest Trimaran I've Ever Seen

This simply has to be the fattest Sailing Trimaran i've ever seen, more like a 'MONOMARAN'

Seen it a few times around CROATIA but this week it was in same Marina we overnighted at in ZADAR so took some shots, is around 40/50' long...

Just maybe the internet signal is a little weak in this bay, i've tried a few times and will continue to do so, one of the probs of floating.....

Just a thought, perhaps that gear isn't for storage, but rather for raising the leward side whilst under way? Raise a hull out of the water perhaps on the windward side??

Floats looked no different to an older Nicol, not much bouyancy and think they more retract than extend, got some more i'll post shortly.... Weird boat!

On Island of ZUT now, there is no doubt it's a one off, i thought when i saw it motoring a couple of moths ago it was flying a KIWI flag, if i see it again i'll get more on it....

It's a floating bunker....the Kiwis have stolen a march in the Pirate Action Group!

Careful, don't go too close....they may have Maoris aboard; the only native tribe that ever successfully fought the British to a treaty. Offer them some deep-fried oysters as a peace-gift, and whatever you do don't laugh if they happen to ask for fish & chips.

The strut & chain/purchase setup looks interesting....perhaps a setup for passing canals? Adjusting draft? A pic of the bow would be nice...

Its not a trimaran, Its a mono barge with outriggers for at anchor comfort, there is a minuscule amount of bouancy in those floats, useless for any sailing assistance

could well aid in haulout--is very difficult to find haulout yards for large multihulls, and the folks i know who own them are trying to seek a way around the extravagant yard haul fees....
