I believe she will. @60AWA with the optional code 0. Remember she comes with a self tacking jib so she really deserves a bigger front sail in light winds.

Also I am not sure about your comparison with other cats. From spec (dimensions, sail area & weight) she is pretty much another L450. Which btw totally makes sense from a marketing point of view.

I think she's got everything to be a winner, hopefully Dufour will be able to make a good quality boat, that to me remains the main question.

Just curious, but what kind of range would that give you, motoring at a reasonably economical speed in calm conditions?

Re: Dufour catamaran

1 engine 6 - 6.5kn - approx 1 US gallon per hour around 70 - 75% throttle. 1000 l = 264US Gal range of 1600nm approx. (of course head/tail wind, current, swell/waves have an impact too).

I had seen on a french TV a year ago: the owner of Catana had said they had delivered about 55 Bali's since the launch.I was a bit surprised since this is roughly more than the double of Catana sales for the same period.

Cheers

No, it doesn't sound that far-fetched. Catana has been producing the Bali line for what . . . 3+ years now? And I see the Catana Group stock price has tripled in value from where it was not that long ago. Mind you it was at the bottom of the barrel before Bali. If not for Bali (and Dream Yacht), I doubt the doors to Catana would be open today.

Re: Dufour catamaran

Beneteau stock price also rose less dramatically (Catana made losses for last couple of years though - so came from a low base )- maybe a response to Hurricane Irma, filling the order books? I wold imagine the owners of Leopard would also be smiling.

Seems the stock price rise has more to do with world circumstances within the pleasure craft industry post Irma, than with the popularity of a new model / range. They all appear to have been on the up since November Last year. All three appear basically flat in the 9 months prior.

Not that I know much about shares, my only venture into that pool involved a brothel called the "Daily Planet" that listed publicly in Oz.

I lost my money on that one. Should have realized once they got away from the core business and started sponsoring V8 race cars it was going to be all down hill.

Dufour seems to be leading the charge on this one. The Gl 335 was 10.28 meters long. It’s replacement the GL 350 was 10.28 meters long and the newest GL 360 is... yup you guessed it.
