Grant, there was one anchored in Savusavu Marina for a season a few years back. Skipper said he built it himself.

True enough. We spent some time with the owners of Saphira in the Tuamotus (really nice folks). IIRC their goal with the bi-rig was not so much speed, but ease of handling and safety, for which the bi-rig is hard to beat.

Pete Hill built and sailed a Bernd Kohler KD860 that sported two junk rigs. We met him briefly and he was super enthusiastic about junk rigs and the ease of handling of a bi-rig. I looks like it went up for sale at the beginning of the year. Sadly, Carly, Pete's wife was lost overboard off of South Africa some years ago.
