If properly anchored with a bridle a multihull will be better behaved than a monohull at anchor. If I anchor my tri with one line off the mainhull it will sail around quite a bit but when the bridle is hooked on to the two ama bows the boats sit right down like it is fastened to the bottom. No experience with cats but I would hope they would behave in a similar manner.

Well, we swing a little faster than a monohull, we also have more windage, so when we don't have any current, we tend to once again, swing faster or lay differently than monhulls. We find we have to assure that we have more swinging radius.

Now the good part is we anchor closer to shore due to the smaller draft and we don't worry so much if the tide goes out and leaves us sitting on the bottom (don't try this in surf conditions!) This normally gives us plenty swinging room.
