Re: China Moon?

We sure love junk sails !! we had them on a 42 Colvin we bilt and after getting to know them, we grew to love them there ease of reefing, and course changes makes ya a great sailor in a very short time !! LOL we sailed with them or almost 30 yrs !!And now we are going to a staysail ketch with of course standard burmuda rig sails! gonna be a all new thing for us ! the last one of this type we sailed was in the late 90s on a west coast delievery. But we look forward to something new !! at least we will be back at sea !!

[QUOTE=andres;960849]Yes I meet Pete Hill two years ago, when he was in Puerto del Buceo in another trip with a junk scooner monohull (Freedom 33).

Andres could you give some insight on Pete Hill's Freedom 33 he converted to Junk Rig?

Did he like it? Was he disappointed?

Thanks

It was a long time ago. I think he liked it, but he prefers a catamaran. I was inside and I found it very spacious, more than I expected.

Re: China Moon?

Thanks Andre, I know of two F33 that have been converted, but both owners promptly sold them for other boats, and wondered if it was a bad combo.
