What is a "saas" catamaran? I looked it up and couldn't find anything.

Hi: I am snowbirding in Belize and looking for a multihull. I live minutes from Yarmouth Maine and your previously mentioned 38 ft Harris cat.
Would you or anyone on the forum have more detailed info about this boat/class in particular? How much draft, need work, etc.

In regards to the Crowther Catamaran for sale in Hawaii for 15K. It has significant structural damage, it is also 36 years old. There is a possibility that no one will make an offer. In that case an option may be to use the large hull and turn it into an outrigger. Chainsaw up the damaged hull. Build a long narrow, low outrigger and attach to the crossbeams.

Obviously this is not ideal, but as storage fees continue to rack up with no buyers it may be the best option. Outrigger could be of low volume, say 2000L maximum, if boat is pushed harder than that the outrigger sinks, thus providing a method of limiting the power that can be delivered
