Re: Cheap Multis and Projects

10k for a Gemini that still floats is very cheap. What is wrong with it to make it that price...?

I sent a reply to the listing asking for recent pictures, as it obviously wasn't pics from buffalo in November. Also asked for detailed inventory and marina to view. Over a week and no response. Either scam or no real urgency to sell.

( Ha , you even managed to get his boarding steps !! ) , that’s not a bad price , actually a lot of boat and fine sailer / performer , I actually viewed that boat but eventually ended up paying considerably more for another one , good luck

Re: Cheap Multis and Projects

Thanks Cherod,
I look forward to meeting you at some point, to compare boats.

She does go like sh*t off shovel, so to speak, even with very tired sails - a new main is on next year's shopping list.

A goodly amount of work completed ( never as much as planned), but hoping to make Cardiff next year for the Volvo Ocean stop-over.

Happy New Year

Dwayne

Is that a Beneteau Blue II?

Sounds like a bargain at £27k even if it needs another £20k work. I was looking for one before I bought my current boat, but even the poor condition ones were closer to £50k

Re: Cheap Multis and Projects

Nothing even remotely similar.

I bought a Prout Snowgoose 35. So much much slower, older, and well a completely different type of boat. She will do me for a few years yet before I outgrow her.

Good luck with the purchase anyhow.

Re: Cheap Multis and Projects

I should think a Snowgoose should be just fine for a “ being becalmed in the Med “ situation , actually I used to know a lad who went all way round the world in his , maybe not the fastest time but did not let him down . Brrr , it’s cold here !!!

Sailing Catamarans - Romany for Sale

I'd buy this! Maybe Kevin will come back and explain what TLC is needed on the boat.
If most is right with this boat, I think this is a great buy.

Just sold my fantastic Jim Brown Searunner 31 and acquired a 43' catamaran. So selling off some rare manuals and books by Jim Brown and Arthur Piver here:

Re: Cheap Multis and Projects

I'm toying with building a cruising cat myself. Nervous about starting something and never finishing it. Who's design are you using? Philip
