Maybe it was revoked it was very controversial at the time.

We’re visitors to Australia with a foreign registered boat and the only requirement we’ve come across is AUD 10M liability insurance when visiting marinas or getting hauled out. We originally only had AUD 3M third party and they all accepted that. We’re over 15m but the same insurance applies to smaller boats.

Re: Cheap Multis and Projects

The commercial aspect of the vessel is zero value unless the mooring is included. This means without that mooring, unless you have a place to operate it, you would have to convert it back into a cruising vessel. Not exactly a good idea given the age.

I wonder if the current commercial operators are dumping the vessel because they are no longer able to find commercial insurance on a vessel over 50 years old. Alternately, perhaps they were informed by CG they will not renew?

What does a mooring have to do with it? And the fact that they are selling it with a COI would imply that it has passed its hull and annual inspection. More than likely the price point is due to the engines having 11k hrs on them.

I spoke with this broker. the mast fell down but isn't damaged. Needs one new sail drive and to have the other one installed. It was unclear if this boat was in the water or out.
