Normally I don't put hurricane damaged boats in this thread but I'll make an exception for this one. It's a 2016 FP Ipanema with a Victoria 67 flybridge for $450K. There's no mast so I'm guessing it was upside down hence the new flybridge. And where the hell does one get a V67 flybridge anyway? Maybe another wrecked boat? It still needs TLC.

Not sure of the millions of safe Prout miles. I can see possibly many thousands and 100s of thousands.

How many Prouts have actually circumnavigated? Have any been lost? One was between the DR and Bahamas last few years with a young child on board.

Also the Prouts are narrow with fat hulls. The sailcrafts are narrow with finer hulls which is less stable than narrow and fat.

Supposedly over 4000 Prouts built with over 10 million miles sailed.
Not all Sailcrafts were narrow with fine hulls. The Cherokee 35 has 1.5’ more beam than the Prout 35 and also fatter hulls at the waterline.

This one is a project but it's not cheap unless you are Bill Gates.
It's a 98' cat and you get only the hulls for 1,100,000 Euros. The big question is where will you put the hot tub.

That Seawings 36 looks like a bargain! Especially if it's all fibreglass, whereas the Norman Cross 30 looks a bit unfinished on the inside, and is definitely a 'docker' rather than a cruiser, given the electric stove!

I'd say for it's size, build quality and features, the Seawings is the bargain of the year, so far. All it needs is paint and anti-fouling, basically, and you got a $50-80K boat for less than $30K

The seller listed it as fiberglass. I found this reference, so it's likely "foam/glass", but not plywood: The Seawing 24 Trimaran Lives | Small Trimarans

SC, I was going off what Snort orignally reported and what the ad said under "Constructrion Material" as in 'fibreglass', but I concur, the interior certainly lkooks to be made of wood and the deckhead beams are certainly wood, and the deckhead in the forepeak looks varnished, so wood there too. Perhaps it's ply/glass..?? Or the the hulls were moulded as seems to have been Skip's practice going by what was said on the small tris page.
Either way, it's some bargain of a boat (if not riddled with worms or rot....)

Yup, fiberglass is a catchall word. Every boat built in the last 4 decades is "fiberglass" unless a traditional wood or metal boat. I personally think cold molded epoxy saturated is just about the best method. It's got fiberglass on the exterior and maybe the interior so it's a fiberglass boat. That Seawings looks like it's got some type of wood core like Lagoons, Leopard etc. They could have foam cored the hulls and then gone to wood on top but I doubt it.
