Re: Cheap Multis and Projects

Not as good a deal as the Simpson tri in Peabody, but I believe that has now gone to a good home...

Re: Cheap Multis and Projects

I hope Birdsey got that tri and will finish it. I have a soft spot for all these unfinished boats (and dreams) that outlived their owners.

With that said here is a 65' cat near Portland OR that needs a helping hand. That pilot house seems to be poorly planned but the rest of the boat might be OK. They were asking big bucks but now it is $100K OBO. I'll bet you can get it for next to nothing but it is 65'! Turn it into a powercat and live the good life.

Piano, that's exactly what it is. My theory is that the builder started tweaking things in his last few years and he wasn't quite altogether there.

Do you know this for a fact? (The Peabody tri) I drive by it everyday and the only activity has been no some " No Trespassing" signs. Local word is no takers yet.

Oh, OK, then maybe the deal fell through? Last I heard from the daughter of the builder it was 'on track' to be removed.

This boat has already sold, to a guy from Canberra who drove the 800kms to Melbourne to view and purchase it. He's posted his good fortune on the Yahoo Farrier page.

Unless you are close by (or you Cruisersforum handle is "Atoll") it's probably not worth travelling for.

Scam. Made the US craigslist rounds, looks like they are throwing a larger net now.

This is where the picture and description came from.
