Good thing we just crossed the Atlantic or I'd be the owner of the Wildcat 350 right now

I'd figure that one would fetch more than $25K. I wonder if it sank and everything made of wood is now papier-maché.

[QUOTE=VBsail;2672006]2001 Wildcat 350 - $25000 Outer Banks NC
Some more photos the owner sent me. Could be a good cat & good buy for the right person, but keep in mind the perceived "build quality issues" of SA Wildcat may reduce the resale value vs other brands even if you fully rebuild it

Re: Cheap Multis and Projects
This boat has a fin keel and cold molded, leading me to believe it might possibly be a cross "R" design, perhaps ... Wide beam for an older tri, center cockpit. Owner doesn't know what design it is. Did any of the Harris trimarans have fin keel?
Any theories or observations as to what it might be?

We bought a project boat last time we arrived in the Azores.... I'm not sure the wife would let me do that again But, it is fun to look.

Re: Cheap Multis and Projects
38' Trimaran near Baltimore MD. I am pretty certain I was aboard this boat a dozen years ago. Just like the ad says now, back then it had lots and lots of spare parts in secured bins. The cockpit is small to enhance seaworthiness. It was built for long distance expeditions. Consequently, there wasn't much in the way of creature comfort. But even when loaded down it still had some liveliness to it at the dock. Certainly not for everyone. Opening bid is $500.

Re: Cheap Multis and Projects
But why bother with any of those project boats when you could own this:

I've had the great pleasure of crewing aboard this boat many times. I have only good things to say about Seawings.

[Clark Rubber is an Australian foam and rubber products retail chain. They don't actually sell rubber checks, but that's what mine would be. Unless I win Lotto this week....]

Re: Cheap Multis and Projects
One very tempting looking tri. Kubota diesel to boot. What's wrong with it? Water in airex core?
