I have raced against one and cruised alongside another. Slower than my 34' cat with fixed keels by a good measure. Not sure why you'd give up all that bridgedeck accommodations with daggerboards, etc and have such marginal performance. My point is there are probably a bunch of way better options for the money

Here's a Gemini 34 for $35,000:

Not cheap cheap, but a pretty good deal for that model.

Re: Cheap Multis and Projects
Well I know more then a few of that era needed hulls rebuilt thanks to osmosis from the internal water tanks leaching thru. I would do a very thorough survey and if,he won't allow the winning bidder to do so prior to the sale, I'd pass.

Re: Cheap Multis and Projects
That Prout has a couple of suspicious photos that the seller doesn't seem to address. Nice of him to post them though.
Water intrusion? Delamination in that back bunk? Not a bargain until it's surveyed.

Re: Cheap Multis and Projects
I think the Horstman catamaran is ultimately going to be a better deal. I doubt the seller gets anywhere near the asking price. Most people just don't want to risk buying a fiberglass over plywood construction.
Here's the youtube tour:
He won't get $40K for it, but it probably will sell closer to $20K.

Re: Cheap Multis and Projects
That green Gemini for 10k was sold recently for 43k...........this new ad is using the same photos, in my mind a likely SCAM of some sort. Beware
