No, there are a lot, and I suspect a few of them will be working on this boat and it may well turn out to be a "fine cat".

And it's part of the opportunity. It's all carbon fibre. Building that
hull was a huge chunk of that cost. Repairing the hull itself, while expensive, will likely not approach it's original production cost as reflected in the
purchase price.

The boat does not need to be identical to what came out of the factory to be a fine cat. Clearly someone has the
money to do this, and is doing it, so whether any bank is willing to make that loan is moot. And banks are not the sole judges of what constitutes a viable
restoration plan.

They don't need blueprints, they just need
rigging parameters and other vitals for the boat, or they can hire a competent naval architect to redesign the
interior, systems, rig etc.
Also, Gunboat may well like to see this boat restored if only for the slightly improved PR of it having a new life. They may cooperate rather freely in the process. Who knows.
Clearly someone has decided they can make this
work. I doubt it's some idiot who does not have the resources and has not consulted with industry experts on it's feasibility. But who knows, stranger things have happened than someone having unrealistic dreams about restoring a boat lol.
