Cell Booster?

We can’t afford a satellite subscription, we’re in a marina with no Wi-Fi, and terrible cell signal. I’m not a whiz at cellular or Wi-Fi stuff but I’ve heard mention of boosting the cell signal on a few cats.
We struggle to even keep phone calls from dropping while at the dock. Can anyone recommend a good way to improve or boost the cell signal, with a reasonable cost?

Re: Cell Booster?

I was looking for the same thing, but I think these are too costly for what they are, and - how well will they perform? Need to buy it to find out....
Good discussion here on cell boosters and wi-fi extenders.

Re: Cell Booster?

I used a cell booster for 2 years while I was doing the vanlife thing. Very, very rare was the time when it would help, but your case does sound like an appropriate one- right on the fringe of normal service working. I would try to find one on ebay to avoid paying too much for what you're getting.
