Catana 42s Pros and Cons

Hallo everybody,

I am in the market for purchasing a catamaran for a 2 year sabattical with my family (my wife and 2 small Kids). We want to sail the Caribbean and French Polynesia. The cat has to be strong, safe, reliable and a good vessel to live on.

I have an offer for a Catana 42s from 1990. All information Pro´s and Con´s are welcome to decide, whether the yacht is suitable for us.


I've also offers for Venezias 42 (1995-1997). Same question: All information Pro´s and Con´s are welcome.


Which yacht might suit requirements better?
