Catamaran Slips in San Francisco Bay?

Hello,

I'm looking for a slip in SF bay in the next 1-2 years for a 34 - 38' Catamaran. Does anyone have any recommendations for yacht clubs that may have availability? Would you be willing to share what you pay for your slip? Are they all end-ties, or double slips.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Mike

If it has to be a yacht club then most have waiting lists. If you want a public or private marina then it will be a bit easier.

The further you get away from the central bay, the greater the supply.

Thanks, It doesn't have to be a Yacht club . . . a private or public marina would be fine . . . would prefer to be somewhere within a 2-4 hour sail from Angel Island

here's where I've been able to find slip space for a 34' tri, 24' beam:

Coyote Point - San Mateo
Oyster Point (double slip for single slip price) - South San Francisco
Ballena Bay - Alameda
Marina Bay - Richmond

I couldn't find a slip in Sausalito

Thanks, I do most of my sailing (rental) out of Ballena today. I had a broker tell me an end tie in Alameda was just under $400 a month. The oyster point option sounds interesting though.

Something to consider about Oyster Point.
I was a liveaboard there for almost 2 years and the wind really blows almost every afternoon. The marine is very close to the takeoff flight path of SFO requiring everyone to stop talking every minute while another large jet takes off.

Depending on the tide it can take two hours from the Bay Bridge to the marina,

If it's cheap you want...San Leandro
If it's fun you want...Berkeley
If you want to be close to marine services...anywhere in Alameda

There are currently (or have recently been) large cats end-tied in Alameda Marina, Grand Marina and Marina Village, all on the Estuary. What actual availability is right now, I couldn't say.
