Catamaran Capsize?

Being a Cat owner I hesitate to give their detractors any ammunition, but yesterday while sailing off Sapelo Island GA the USCG issued a Pan Pan for an overturned catamaran with one person standing on the hulls in St. Simons Sound. There was no information on the type of cat. A quick search of the internet has yielded no further information. I was wondering if anyone had any info on this incident.

don't think it would be fair for anyone to blame the catamaran...ships capsize there as well.

must be something in the water...

I see overturned catamarans with people on the hulls most weekends duing the Sou'Easters.
They never appear on the internet!
...

Generally they are Hobie 16s
