Catalac 8 M, is it too small ?

Hi all
I was just wondering if anyone here has either owned or sailed on a Catalac 8M ?
I have an opportunity to pick an old (1978) one up at quite a reasonable price thats in good condition for its age. Mainly for coastal cruising around Ireland / Scotland. I am hoping to buy this year after I complete my DS in March, preferred boat would be a Prout event or Snowgoose elite. Mainly for single handing, but occasionally 2 adults and three kids, I would appreciate any comments ?

Catalacs are good solid boats..
Should be fine.. depending on the age of the kids.

I own an 8M,

You can sail it singlehanded and there is space to accommodate your family of five...

They have been built for safe family cruising...

Keep me posted if you got it!
