Cat Dockage ??

My wife an I are starting to look at purchasing our first cat. Presently we are trying to stay with one w/ a max beam of 16', so we can fit her in a normal slip at the local marina. Assumeing you don't live on the water, with the cat behind the house, what to you BIG cat owners do about dockage ???

Loking forward to your input,

Mark

There a few docks here on Willoughby creek in Stuart FL. that can rent to large cats including my slip which will be empty once I sell my 50' cat www.silentfaith.mysite.com (still bldg. site) I am real estate market broke and have to sell and rent my slip. Will get a new cat asap.

We will be keeping Whistler II in the Palm Beach area.

Last est. I got was for a 35' slip, for $650, plus elec.

But we have been limiting ourselves to looking at max beams of 16' so we would fit into a slip.

Slips up my way are 15' wide. I'm 13' 8". Makes for rather exciting docking manuvers. If you're going to be in a tight slip, I would highly recommend a boat with twin engines. There's no way I could get into my slip if I didn't have twin diesels. What they don't tell you about cats is that broadside to the wind they are difficult to control because of their windage.
