Hi all,

Thanks for your interest, the boat finally got hauled out yesterday.
The reason for the delay was that my surveyor was waiting for the money to turn up in his account which took nearly two weeks (see my other thread on sending money O/S.
Anyway the money did turn up and I believe it was all happening but have not received word on how it went.
I did however receive an email from the charter base manager to say that his estimate on the haul out was wrong and that the surveyor whom I had sent the money to so he could pay on my behalf would not pay any extra so it had all stopped.
Thankfully the manager covered that cost and the extra charge for a test skipper as my surveyor turned up late and will pass me the bill.
So there you go, I'm like you all still waiting.
Oh and my finance was given official approval yesterday too.
I really can't believe how casual these guys are but at the same time I'm very thankful that they are.
Stay tuned for further news, maybe I need to start a blog somewhere.

As a fellow Australian I think you are very trusting doing the whole deal from Aus. Its a lot of money to outlay but I guess you know what your doing.

I'm lucky to be using people recommended from a trusted source, otherwise I wouldn't be doing it this way.
But like everything there is a risk and you don't get something for nothing.
