Buying a new cat to put into Charter

Recently retired and have been sailing on and off from when I was a teenager. Having completed the requisite corses from Offshore sailing my wife and I had our 1st succesful charter of a 37' monohull; Bavaria. As i want to spend time sailing a cat with family and friends as a captain I was thinking that buying a cat from Moorings, Horizon, Dream Charter, etc. Was hopping to get some feedback from other that have participated in these programs; what was your experience, how expensive was it, more than just chartering 2 or 3 times a year, payout at the end.

I am looking at boats in the 42 to 46 ft range, probably 4 cabins to be based in the BVI's
