Build quality of Jeanneau DS44 vs 509

We are about to start seriously looking for a liveaboard boat to move onto a year from this spring. Our frontrunners seem to be the 44ds or the 509.

I'm noticing that the 509's seem to be considerably cheaper and I'm curious if there is a build quality difference between the models or if the deck salon's just hold their value that much better.

Wrong forum nuru05. This is the multihull forum so you probably won't find that much knowledge about either boat.

For Jeanneau specific forums try. https://jeanneau.proboards.com/
But there are lots of monohull threads here also. Less bias against production boats on their respective owner forums of course.

I am a Tartan fan and own an older one. As a delivery Capt, I get to run many different boats of varying condition.

From that basis, I have run many Jen 444’s and the older 43 version. Great boat, handles nice, good handholds and not too bendy. Overall build quality is not Tartan or Sabre, but better than many other boats in that price range.
