Claire - I'm afraid I can't help you on this one. I had
work done at River Bend marina where they hauled our FP-38. In my opinion - they did a lousy job, did more than authorized, and charged too much. Since I was 3,000 miles away at the time, I had little to argue about as I was trying to get the
boat loaded on a Yacht Path ship for transport to the left coast.
It may be a different story if you are there to stand over them at each step. I had no way to do that and no one to hire to do it for me.
Every time I called the yard manager - Robert, as I
recall - he was too busy to talk, then at the last minute did the
work and had to air ship a part - and of course charged me for the shipping!
An
exhaust manifold was replaced and not even bolted on to the
engine correctly, and a spare cooland cap, that was the wrong pressure rating.
