boat purchase help!

They wife and I are looking at a catamaran we can use as a dive boat. I personally would like something in the 30+ foot range, but my pockets are kinda light right now. Anyone have any recommendations as to a decent boat that would possibly be blue water capable. For now, we are going to keep to the caribbean right now. Might eventually get into some longer adventures when our new born gets older.

Oh, forgot to mention, I don't mind fixing up an older boat. I am good at wood working and a good mechanic.
