What do you think is the best liveaboard cruising cat for under $500k usd?

Manta 42 is a great cruising couple's boat and can be had for way under $500K, several on market under $300K.

Best means so many different things to different people. Leopard and Bali make cats that have huge living spaces with big bay windows to take in the view. Schionning makes much, much quicker designs that are half the weight for the same size.

Each is the best boat to some people, and something that strikes a balance in between might be better to others. That's why there are so many designs out there - you need to specify what is important to you before you can get a useful answer here.

Are we talking brand new out of the box or used?

If used, any restrictions of age or sizze?

Buying brand new is not the best option in may cases.
And as sea worthiness should be of highest priority I would suggest looking at a second-hand Outremer.
