Re: Atlantic Delivery

I'm very happy all are safe and situation is being managed.

Two crew? I thought the Securite message indicated 2 SOBs. Without reading all the way back on this thread--am I wrong on that?

Skipping over 400 odd posts.

Good job Phil. Good job Atoll. Sounds like a lot broke.

As of about 20 minutes ago, the Spot showed them 26 nm from the harbor in Horta.

This is why SPOTs suck! And I too am guilty of it.

Trying to figure out what is happening off the limited data given is like reading g tea leaves. If boatie has a sat phone call him. If he has not popped the EPIRB, he is just having an "adventure".

Re: Atlantic Delivery

Looks like some 20 miles to go.
It will be really interesting to hear the story of failures on this boat.

Oh, and I hope we all can see some nice photos of Boatman and his crew

Obvious, one of the three people on board has sold his/her soul to the devil. I wonder who?

Re: Atlantic Delivery

This thread has kept us on edge of our seats for 2-3 weeks. It deserves to be preserved. Redford's "All is Lost" had the right story line: ie sailboat in danger, no comms, etc. it just had the wrong actor and director. Oscar nominations for Boaty, director group nomination CFposters.

Oops missed post about ripped sails and engine issues. My apologies for shooting from the.... Hip.

Tip of the cap for reading things so accurately and getting in help!

Indeed. I was excitedly trying to keep up with the tow mission today... while remodeling our bathroom. My phone is covered in tile grout.

Re: Atlantic Delivery

Wow-great news, great job done by all. Sounds like Boaty was not too upset at seeing JP come over the horizon! The owner should be very glad he hired an experienced, determined mariner to get his boat across.
no scripted "reality" show could possibly be this good!

i think it would have been worth a hundred bucks to see the look on the girls faces, when they realised they would be making port by midnight!
