Are There Any 40 Dean Espace Converts ?

I guess Peter Dean from Dean Catamarans has a reputation for building leasure boats and i was wondering if there are folks who actually own Dean Espace cats and can say why a Dean and not Catalac or any other.
Iam impressed with the Dean she is wide and have nice cabins.

Re: Are There Any 40 Dean Espace Converts ?

Hi.

Yes we know of a few Dean 440 converts and we certainly are one of them.

We sailed for two years and crossed two oceans in our Dean 440 (Merlin). The boat is safe, fast, strong and comfortable. It handled all the weather that we encountered with ease and we never felt unsafe.

My wife and I and our three young kids could handle the boat without a problem. We had all the important halyards and both genoa sheets leading to the one electric winch at the steering position, which meant that one person could do most maneuvers. The large interior space and comfortable cockpit made life on board a pleasure.

Unfortunately our cruising time is up and we need to get back to land life so our boat is on the market. She is ready to cross some more oceans and discover some more of the paradise that is out there! Here is a link to our boat listing site www.deancatamaran.com . It has lots of pictures of the cool stuff we have on board, check it out.

My wife was really good at putting pictures and stories of our two year trip from Cape Town to the Caribbean and then through the Pacific, on our blog. So if you want to dream about cruising the world or want some practical ideas, have a look. www.merlinsvoyage.net

Cheers
Gregory

It looks like the links need to be copied and pasted into your browser www.deancatamaran.com and www.merlinsvoyage.net not sure why. Happy sailing.
