Appropriate used Corsair 36 price?

Hi,

I am looking at used Corsair 36's. The new 37's, for example, go for (roughly) $275,000. I see three listings for used 36's all made in the 2000's, and the prices, are all about $185,000-$195,000.

NADA says the boats is worth about $95,000 (low retail price), $105,000 (average retail price) and the broker should ask $185,000 on a 2004.

So here's the thing, how can I determine what a reasonable price is on this boat? Do you think the NADA price is accurate ($105,000 for a 2004?) Trimarans come in far fewer numbers than i.e. monohulls so trouble finding actual selling prices. Is there a website that says what these boats actually sold for? Or a general % off a boat that is 10 years old in good condition?

No, the NADA price isn't accurate, especially for boats. That said, you might want to do some searches in regards the Corsair 36 (which is NOT a Farrier boat)

Here's something that Mr Farrier has to say about the C36, for example

Ian has been known to harbour a grudge.

The 36 and or 37 are good boats.

Ian does harbor grudges, but the C36 failures are documented elsewhere
