Anyone own a Kelsall K32 on here. Any tips or pitfalls??????

Greetings all,
I have seen a few photos of a 1980 Kelsall K32 on the water but in need of serious TLC. The Seller has responded to my e-mails with terse replies of the vessel been Sold As Seen... Before I head off with my life's savings, I would like to get some pointers to watch out for on a 42 year old future liveaboard vessel. Plans are to base her initially in Irish waters while I carry upgrades, then off to the Med and beyond. As a matter of interest, might these vessels be suited to a trip to The Azores and back???

Kelsall designs really good strong boats even in the early days. He was the pioneer in foam sandwich construction. I would speak to Derek himself, he is very approachable.

This was a very early design so expect it to be cutting edge 40 years ago.

What a hugely helpful reply. I very much appreciate your suggestion. I am hoping to give a 42 year old yacht a new lease of life. I might as well go directly to the Master himself.
