Anyone from Houston or Galvaston?

Anyone with a 38-50 foot cat around there.... who wouldnt mind giving me a small tour. I am really looking towards buying this size cat to live on, and would like to get a better idea what i am up against. I would like to buy lunch or dinner for you or bring a few beers just to chit chat. I am in colorado but going to dallas for the next 3 days and would be available this SAT.

Cheers
Conrad

Texas sailors

Conrad,
We are in Kemah, TX, just South of Houston, on Galveston Bay. We are on the boat now, and will be here on Sat., Aug 30th. Two small problems in our ability to meet your request: 1) We currently have a monohull, not a cat. 2) We cannot take the boat out at present, as we are prepping it for sale.
Feel free to PM us if you'd like to drop in to say hello.

Is there an abundance of people around there? I would really like to talk to some live aboards if possible. Multi or Mono otherwise. I want to see the "actual size of a 40+ foot cat.

Conrad,
There are quite a few liveaboards in our marina. It's repued to be the best hurricane hole on the Texas Gulf Coast. There are severral cats here from 38-47 ft.

Hey Spammy

Where did you get the name for your boat?

There is a very strange one off here in Sydney with the same name. It is as slow as a wet week, which is a problem when they race it.

I hope your hull colour is not the same "yellow" he has !!

Strangely, its upper spreaders are wider than its lower spreaders. There are other "idiosyncracies" in the rig as well

Welcome!

Conrad, you are welcome!
I hope your search for a cat is fruitful. We'll be interested to hear when you settle on a boat.

DtM,

Quetzalcoatl is an Aztec diety, considered to be the sky god, but also associated with wind and water....so the association with a boat should logically follow!
My boat is not slow, and I don't think it's ugly, either! It's a production boat very popular in America.
