Blue Skye, Yep, that's one among among other modifications. Marc and Gregor are determined that this cat will be a great boat and will succeed. We're betting on it. They'll be pleased to know that some folks are still cheering for Alpha 42. Thanks.

Do you think the improved version will still have the anchor chain running over the nice white cushions ?

Are you going to leave your nice white cushions, pillows, and wineglasses there while you're raising and lowering your anchor?

Well, I too was aghast when I saw that lead for the chain. It's fixed.

Why not? Dropping anchor doesn't mean the party's over.

You guys are obviously missing the most important problem with that photo - the wine glasses are empty - yet no one is passed out in the netting. Poor form.

You clearly haven't seen what Chesapeake mud can do to a foredeck, even if hosing the anchor chain as it comes up.

Sorry, my fault for being very vague. The chain, and thus the mud, shouldn't be there. Run the chain under in a hidden channel. Much more elegant solution. Why mess up such a lovely cockpit area with a rusty, muddy chain?

Absolutely right. As I wrote, it's fixed. No more chain across the deck.

OK, I didn't understand what you meant when you posted it's fixed. That's a very good update!

Sorry. No pics. It's a fix since our last visit to the yard. Contact Marc Anasis. I'm sure he'll be happy to provide details.
