Alibi Catamarans

Anyone know anything about the Alibi 47? See: http://www.catalibi.com

Daggerboarded, diesel/electric propulsion, hard chined and an, uh, interesting alternative to davits.

Let 'er rip.

That light, that size, that much sail, and daggerboards.

Great fun , but I would not sail in her without a decent sized crew.

Interesting boat. I think a little "too" French for me, but interesting. Thats a great Cape Horn photo on their site. Boat pics are fake, though, I think.

Well, I wonder about how well the tender will stand up to the abuse of being under the bridgedeck, and what they mean by use of hemp and linen in their composites???
Any idea what the suggested retail price is?

It's seems that they have done the first one, we can see a lot of pictures of her on their website : Catamaran Alibi - catamaran manufacturer, constructeur de catamaran
There is also a video on Youtube wich is a presentation of all the features of the Alibi 54 :

In my opinion a great looking cat, and one that I wouldn't mind owning but the old rule applies: You have to choose 2 out of the 3, speed, comfort and price. The seem to have chosen speed and comfort. I wish I could afford to do the same
