Advice for the Novice !

Dear All,

I have sailed beach cats for a few years and would like to move the cruising world. in the first years i guess this will be cruising the east coast of UK with a few races and the odd visit to France. i have my eye on a 1998 30 ft cat originally built for the OSTAR which i would like to covert to cruising - veruy much along Shuttleworth ideas with a tramploine and accommodation in each hull. usually i sail alone. i have been on a few large cats and like this boat as it retains the power and thrills of the beach cats - which i fear loosing!!

Any ideas or suggestions?

all best

tim

Hey Tim...welcome to the forum.
My only cat experiance was with a Hobie 16 I had in Florida.

Go for it. Just be careful how much weight that conversion will add. If you overload it, you'd be better off with a lightly loaded cruising cat.
