Hi Everyone - first post here.
I'm
shopping for a
catamaran to live on for a few years while I sail it across an ocean or two. 41' Catanas seem to be the only production cats in my
price range with daggerboards that are over 40'.
I see a lot of 1995 models on the market... the first one I called about apparently has pretty bad osmotic
delamination and blistering. Is this a common problem on mid-90s catanas? Seems like if 1 is delaminating after 15 years, they all would.
Also, are there any ideas for building some shelter around the
helm? I've read some criticism that the exposed
cockpit makes them bad cruisers.
Thanks!
