42 Crowther Tri on Yachtworld

Tris are still my favorite type of boat. I don't know why I would even consider one for a long cruise. Their accommodations are pathetic. They just look awesome and should sail better than most other boats. This has to be the best one for the price I have seen. Take a look.

How is this board supposed to work? Its appears too short of a case to work as a dagger board, and not long enough to house a swinging center board?

No double bed and a pissant little cooker, no good for cruising.

I really like that boat. It's one of the nicest trimarans for sale but there was no way I could make it work for my family. How is it that so many boat designers overlook a decent place for a couple to sleep?

Crowthers are nice boats. Great price!!!

I think this is the same one I saw about a year ago online. Looks to me like someone purchased it and fixed it up a bit, or it never was sold and they continued to improve it.

Re: 42 Crowther Tri on Yachtworld

You guys are so correct about the accommodations which is why I would not buy it. I thought I would put it up for the Tri fan anyway. There is a Crowther Tempest 38 for sale on there too with 3 double beds for around $20K, but it is in poor condition. This could have been made with those accommodations too. If it had doubles in it I would consider it.
