pride and joy

survey went well, closing on tuesday and then a slow sail back from long island to buzzards bay - should take several days. photo is in photo gallery under "bristol 31.1" . couldn't figure out how to shrink it down to meet size requirement. capt. lar

19 foot Caprice IV - I know a toy to most of you, but a Mark1 did circumnavigate - read Shrimpy by Shane Acton.
NB Great to be called Junior at 74! Or the boat - of '78 vintage - or is it all about size?

We liveaboard a Challenger 40 ketch. Since living aboard does not lend itself to daysails, and since I have an addiction to woodboats, I also have a 28' wooden double ended cutter built in 1940 by Olaf Tellefsen. Recently, one of "those" deals came along, so I now own a 35' Piver Lodestar. The little double ender is now for sale but 3 is just too darn many. The wife allows me on big toy, and it is the trimaran's turn.

Our sailboat is a 2001 Jeanneau 37 Sun Oddesey. Name is Sun Dog. We bought her new in 2001 after putting in an order a year before. We are trying to use her as a coastal cruiser but have done longer passages and plan some extensive cruising in the Caribbean in the near future.

Our Fleet

We have an old Laser (#811), most of the parts to assemble a 1976 Lightning (#12945; the missing part being an un-delaminated hull), a 1973 San Juan 21 (#555) QUASAR, and a 1980 Peterson 34 (#82), GREYHAWK.

Our extended family fleet includes a 1958 Galaxy 32, GALAXY, a 1980 Cape Dory 36, DIAPENSIA, and a 1980's Irwin 37, PATRICIAN.

You can learn about our fleet at http://members.acadia.net/catamount/Boats.html

Connemara is a Mirage 27-foot masthead rig sloop. Currently on the frigid hard in Toronto (minus 16C and snow on the way). Built by Mirage Yachts (RIP) of Quebec and launched in 1983.

Looking forward to spring.
