also, i can endorse the Mack Boring 3 day
diesel engine maintenance course designed for
boat owners. it cost $695, and i walked away is confidence that i can take apart the
fuel,
cooling and injector systems, then reinstail each with new gaskets or replacement
parts, inspect each system methodically, and restart the engine...but first olive
oil (or glycerin) coat the
raw water impeller. larry berlin has been doing this for 40 years. he had 6
yanmar diesels, and will talk you through the disassembly,
inspection and reassembly in the classroom, then go out the the shop and get dirty.
