Does it have a stereo, or is the radio only mono?

No disrespect, I know we all have to start somewhere, but with so many ways for one to find the answer to a question such as this, why post it here? A simple google search, answers.com, or wikipedia.com would have been able to easily give you the answer. Just a thought, a little effort can go a long way

The term comes from a caulking product called MONO made by Tremco. As a function of weight, when the ratio of caulking to hull is exceeded by 50%, one is known to have a "Mono" Hull. The use of Mono on ships has a long history dating all the way back to Viking era.

Mono

And here this whole time I thought it meant owning only one boat at a time (monogamy), something I have trouble with.

Trauma, at least you are a sailboat owner! Puff out your chest and say, "I own my own yacht. It is a 27 foot monohull that I dearly love!"
Keep posting questions. You might get a good answer occasionally.
Bless you,

Welcome to the forum Trauma.

I wouldn’t take to seriously some of the above responses.
As Celestialsailor said we are a friendly bunch.

Please ask any questions you may have.

Mono is a single hull.
Cat, short for Catamaran is two hulls, but the term Cat may also be describing a type of sail configuration i.e. you can have a mono hull with a cat rig.
Tri or trimaran is three hulls.
Multis, are any boat with more that one hull, can be a cat or tri.

Welcome to the wonderful world of boating.
