What happened to Sail Calculator 3.53
I had been using this a but to help me search for a boat but as of last Friday all I get from Account Suspended is something about an acct being suspended. Does anyone know of another place I can go that has all that lovely info on boats?
Thanks

Re: What happened to Sail Calculator 3.53
I'm not familiar with the "Sail Calculator" site. I do know that sailboatdata.com is a good resource for researching boat specs.

If anyone is particularly interested I can probably organise an external rehosting of the data. Let me know.

Re: What happened to Sail Calculator 3.53

We are shopping for a boat now, and I knew about the sailboat data Capt. Force mentioned, but hadn't heard of this Sail Calculator site.
Thanks for the find!

This is the best place I found to compare boats and find one suiting my choices. All I could find was version 2.72 which has a lot less boats. I figured everyone here would know where to go to get this back.

Yes, YES: Someone please host it.
I didn't realize it was gone, but over the course of looking at boats, i have frequently used it. It is a very handy way to compare the factors that help understand one design versus another. I don't think there is any other alternative that that calculator that is set up on the web.

Re: What happened to Sail Calculator 3.53
I use it every time I look at boats. I loved the search feature for finding boat with say LOA>39, Capsize<1.7 and comfort>38. I use Sailboatdata for things like tankage and ballast%.

Re: What happened to Sail Calculator 3.53
Thank you so much. I use the site every time I go to yachtworld to see if the boat is one I may want. Not having it makes the screening process time consuming. I would have thought people here would havenoticed the instant it went down but maybe I am just a newbie and don't know the boats like you all do.
Thanks again Mark!

Thank you Mark. I used it all of last year while searching for my first boat. A tool I appreciated a lot.

That is exactly what I am doing this year Those books on 20 Affordable Boats to Take You Anywhere were a good start, but being able to drill down and search for specifics is even better.
