What Filter Flow Rate for Pathfinder 65HP?

My old Fram cartridge fuel filters are cruddy and rusted, so I'm looking to replace with a Racor 200 Series spin-on filter. I can't seem to find any specifications in the manual for what size to use. The Pathfinder (1.9 VW) 65HP itself consumes 0.8 GPH at cruise, and a max of 3.8 GPH at full power (according to the manual), but I can't find any info on what the total flow rate is including the return to the tank. Would the 30 GPH be sufficient?

I can not quote a specific figure for your engine, but 30 gph should be way more than any engine of that size will require.

Anything over the max 3.8GPH spec would "work", but oversized is good. This way a filter has to be severly clogged before the engine stops.

I've got Racor 500FGs, rated at 60GPH, on my little Volvo MD2020s. Dramatic over kill, but I've never once had them stall from a clogged filter! :-)

And they are easy to service.

You have return fuel to include with that 3.8 GPH, but agree 30 ought to be plenty good
