What Do You Think About These Boats?

Hi there,

Slowly looking for a boat to learn on, and something that at some point I can singlehand.

I came across these two.

I've been looking for a Catalina 22, but these seem like they may be promising.

Never heard of either, but that dosen't mean much.

What do you think? any info/advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

At $4,000 you can hardly go wrong with the Windrose as a starter boat. It looks like a nice boat assuming those pictures aren't from 1982 - LOL

I owned a fin keel Catalina 22 and have experience with an American 23. I have no experience with the Windrose. The Catalina has a better quality build and is a more solid boat than the American in my opinion.
regards,

The windrose looks like a bigger boat for sure. Either is likely great for learning. A catalina will be eaiser to sell when the time comes. It seems to me the Windrose has a good rep though... If memory serves...never had one.
