What brand self-steering windvane is this?

Hi there,
I'm interested in a self-steering windvane and found one used for sale.
The owner doen not know the brand or any additional information about this vane. I would like to know what kind of windvane this is? Thank you in advance!

Not certain but it might be a Sailomat from Sweden.

Possibly a CapHorn
How CapeHorn make boats steer themselves – CapHorn – Régulateur d’allure intégré

I'll vote for the Cape Horn. Definitely NOT a Sailomat (i had one of those!)

While the designer of Sailomat is Swedish, he lives in San Diego.

Further inspection of second photo shows control lines that go to the wheel or tiller so not an autonomous unit.
I never knew there were so many 'brands' out there.

Re: What brand self-steering windvane is this?

Thank you all for the input. It seems not to be a Sailomat or CapeHorn, hard to find what it is. I viewed many pictures of different windvanes but non of them seems to be similar to the one on the picture.

Gordmay: Thank you! The forum is very helpful.

Re: What brand self-steering windvane is this?

It’s a pendulum-servo vane that steers through the boats rudder with lines to tiller/wheel. It’s got a cast aluminum main body so not a Cap Horn or Monitor or other SS variety.

If anyone has a need for an Aries rudder with break away collar circa 1974 discovered one cleaning out our garage. It’s not for a later model flip up rudder vane. VFree, you pay shipping.

Re: What brand self-steering windvane is this?

It could be an earlier Cape Horn, as the servo rudder is wood and the Wind Vane looks the same, not all the C.H. installs are via the quadrant, a option is leading the lines via blocks to a tiller or wheel, i installed a C.H. on a customer's boat that way, needed to order aome beacket's for the install, if it's complete just install like a Airies or the stainless steel COPY of the Airies.

Looks similar to a Neptune.
Should work OK
I would buy if the price was right.

Re: What brand self-steering windvane is this?

Thank you all for the kind suggestions, I have mailed CapeHorn if they recognized the windvane. CapeHorn gave almost direct an answer and they did not know this model. Maybe it's an selfmade vane.....
