I'm pretty knowledgeable about boat maintenance but the teak deck thing is beyond me.

Is it that the teak has been fastened to the deck with screws and they leak into the coring?

Patprice, what are some alternatives to teak you can use for boat decking?

Unbusted67 I feel you will get much better information than asking me about teak alternatives by doing a web search.

Non-skid on fiberglass works well.

Re: Wauquiez/Hood 38 build quality?

I looked at a Waquiez 38 in CT last year. Top notch solid construction. Wouldnt hesitate buying one but the decks on the one I looked at were soaked from bow to stern.

After seeing the 38 it is rumored that Ted based his Little Harbor 38 on it. Changed the Euro deck styling to New England yacht club standard. 😁
