V-42 - Ketch Rig.. opinions?

Does anyone have any opinions regarding the Ketch rigged V-42?

Given that its main mast is around 14 feet shorter than the original. It would seem to me to be a somewhat "neutered" version compromising both light air and windward performance in exchange for the ability to sail under lower bridges.
