Looking for phonetic alphabet's, which one uses <Cheers> and <Neil> ?
Considering the name of my boat, i prefer <Cheers> instead of <Charlie> from the NATO-alphabet...
Btw, my vote: Rachel June

Re: Urgent. Help with name
Names I wanted for previous boats included “Warship 78” which is the carrier Ford. Being from San Diego, a big navy town, I thought it might help in getting right of way. I had a mahogany 38 footer that was a dream to sail in the light morning breeze but “Morning Wood” got vetoed. Given you are changing the name make sure you follow tradition to avoid disaster.

Re: Urgent. Help with name
Rachael June. No contest. It's good for the family connection, with both of you represented, it has the required melodious sound and unlike many names with wierd polynesian words, it's easy to get right on the radio.
The Dreaming II is in second place, but way too complicated, anyway sounds like a powerboat to me.
Starwood 78. Ugh. Wasn't that something Chevy came out with back in the day?

I like Starwood. Used to be a nightclub on the strip in Hollywood. Sounds good without numbers or the.
I also love Minerva, a great song by Deftones.

The most ridiculous name I ever saw was Shut Up And Drive. I grew up with a mom who thought saying "shut up" was akin to a cuss word. Still can't imagine saying it over the VHF.
Anyway, to the OP, congrats on the new Starwood!!

Not only a great song but the Roman Goddess of poetry, medicine, commerce, weaving, the crafts, wisdom, courage, inspiration, victory, war, law, civilization, bravery, heroism, protection, city state, family, justice, mathematics, science, technology, strength, strategy, the arts, and skill each of with are a little piece of sailing! The Celtic version is Brigantia which is similar to the term Brigantine which is a two masted sailing vessel!

can you imagine someone naming their boat SV Go Sink Yourself and hearing that call on the VHF. That might be too much of a taunt for neptune though...
I'm apt to overthink things..but I think names should have a couple principles (all this is my personal opinion..no disrespect to how others choose names)
Short (one or two words are easier for other to call on the radio and to document...a sentence or phrase is too easily forgotten, mixed up or annoying for bridge, marina and other sailors. For example being of Scandinavian/Scottish ancestry I like the names Iolar na Mara(Eagle of the Sea in Celtic) or An Bradan Feasa (salmon of knowledge in Celtic) or Lass of the Waves but those are a mouthful in an emergency and a lot of words
Phonetically easy - if you are cruising around in non-native speaking areas they will butcher the name like a starbucks barista...meaning you may not hear the boat name when you need to, or may end up confusing other boats. Fewer simple syllables mean clearer comms. The examples above are a nightmare as are An Faoilean (Seagull in Celtic)...certain languages have issues with certain letter sounds.
Low Pomposity names that are a bit boastful or grandiose tend to annoy me..like people who walk around in Warrior of God shirts but cant fight off a cheeseburger. example, my Dads name was Byron and I love Lord Byron's poetry but to label a boat Lord Byron might be a bit overboard.
Low Cheese Factor We've all seen these, double entendres...Nauti by Nature, the boardroom, etc...again just my personal subjective opinion, I get they are fun and are often funny, but I've seen a lot of powerboats with the cheesiest names and its often the worst boaters and obnoxious people. One I considered was Irish Wake because of multiple means..but its a bit cheesy.
Recognizable - somewhat related to the above but if you need help or you ask someone to pop over in a crowded marina its nice to have a name thats a bit more unique and sticks out or says something about you...maybe its a french name for a french made boat, or a Celtic Name to go with that Scottish/Irish flag, or a norse name on that HR. Ultimately if possible (assuming you can or are willing to name/rename a boat) it should say something about you or evoke an emotional response from you...(since it will demand a financial effort and work effort to maintain and take care of it). The OP obviously thought about those options because they mean something to them...thats a story, thats a connection to the boat and thats how we connect as people.
oh and its also not an great idea to choose the same name 10 other boats on AIS in your area have so the Coast Guard or other boats dont have to play a game of guess the boat in trouble.

This was a local sport fishing boat named ‘Lucky Strike’. Apparently the gods couldn’t resist inflicting a little of their usual special humor.
